Skills

Knot provides skills that guide AI agents through implementing specific integrations, including the right API calls, webhook handling, data schemas, and testing steps. Installing a skill gives your agent the procedural knowledge to build an integration on your behalf.

The MCP server only helps you search Knot’s docs and does not call the Knot API. Skills teach your agent how to build specific integrations step-by-step.

Install skills

Run the following command in your terminal to view and select which skills to install into your agent’s context so it can take actions on your behalf:

npx skills add https://docs.knotapi.com

Include https:// in the URL. Without it, the skills CLI treats docs.knotapi.com as a GitHub repository and fails.

To skip the picker, name the skills to install with --skill:

To add skills manually, copy the skill.md file for each relevant skill below and paste it into your agent.

`knot`	Start here. Explains how Knot works, shared setup (auth, base URLs, versioning, webhooks), and which skill or guide to use for each product.
`knot-sdk`	Install and initialize the Knot SDK across platforms (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Web).
`knot-card-switcher`	Integrate CardSwitcher end to end: create sessions, handle `AUTHENTICATED`, send encrypted card data, and handle `CARD_UPDATED` / `CARD_FAILED`.
`knot-webhooks`	Build and secure a webhook endpoint: verify `Knot-Signature`, respond within 10 seconds, deduplicate retries, and route events.
`knot-transaction-link`	Link merchant accounts via the SDK (or reuse accounts already linked through CardSwitcher), then sync and store SKU-level transaction data. Also generates sample transaction data from the development API for prototyping.
`knot-subscriptions`	Retrieve, refresh, and cancel subscriptions for linked merchant accounts, and handle subscription webhooks.
